Mission Based Media is looking for a Producer/Writer to work closely with the Managing Editor on our original and seasonal series of podcasts. Candidates must love audio storytelling and be able to develop story structure, reporting strategies and establish an entertaining, compelling and emotionally engaging tone for the podcast.

Our ‘dream’ candidate is an exceptional producer who is able to write creative, engaging, and motivational content focusing on scientific or medical topics.
In this role you will be responsible for developing new shows and have a hand in all aspects of the podcast production process from concept to launch. This includes overseeing the production process, developing ideas and writing copy.
What you will do:
- Pitch and develop new podcasts, establishing the episodic and seasonal story arc, conduct research for each episode and find relevant people to interview.
- Write and edit compelling interview questions.
- Collaborate with audio engineers and provide detailed feedback on mixes.
- Record interviews that have excellent sound (and occasionally video) quality.
- Stay informed about current events in the health and podcast industry.
What we are looking for:
- Experience in journalism or radio production
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Self-starter with strong organizational and project management skills
- A demonstrated ability to manage priorities and multiple tasks.

- Candidates with the ability to host shows and lead discussions are preferred
